OPENING THE DOORS OF PERCEPTION: PSYCHEDELICS & SPIRITUALITY
In this conversation of the spiritual and religious use of psychoactive substances and plant medicines, we will discuss various understandings of the psychedelic realms. From a Guatemalan Shamanistic Mesoamerican tradition, to Jewish spiritual and mystical practice, to a comic and poetic Buddhist paradigm and finally a Metaphysical/Vedic view point, we explore how these unique perspectives manifest on a day to day basis. We will also discuss what consciousness is, how psychedelics and psychoactive plants interface with spirituality and religion and how their use can lead to living a happier life, assisting one in reaching higher states of consciousness.
